2 Day Treks in the Atlas Mountains – Morocco Atlas Valleys Trek 2 Days

This two days trip is packed with experiences. Starting from Marrakech you will pass through Berber hamlet villages of the High Atlas with a stunning mountain panorama along the way. You’ll visit the highest waterfall in the High Atlas mountains (swimming optional) and take a scenic walk in a forest.

Spend the night in a middle-of-nowhere village inhabited

by shepherds and their families in the summertime.

You will also ascend to the summit of Hadj (3,200m), a lovely spot for a picnic, with a splendid view of Mt Toubkal, Jbel Oukaïmeden range, the plateau of Tazaghârt, and of the pretty Assif Aït n’Ouissedene and Imlil Valley.

We will pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech at 8:30 AM then drive towards the High Atlas Mountains via Molay Brahim Gorge and Asni town, enjoying the stunning view of the villages along the way. Once you arrive in Imlil you will meet the guide & muleteer and then start the trek to climb Tizi Mzik Pass where you will stop for your delicious al fresco lunch with a spectacular view of Imlil Valley & Oukaimden Summit, then we’ll continue on to Tamsoult to visit the highest waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains (over 90m), then walk through juniper forest to get to Azib Tamsoult Refuge, where we will spend the night. 5 hours walking total.

After breakfast you will set off on an interesting hike up along the Toubkal National Park via the Tizi-n’Tichka Pass towards Hadj summit (3,200m) with amazing views in all directions where we’ll stop for our picnic. After your mountaintop lunch, you will walk all the way down through zigzagging path to Imlil Pass via the Berber village of Armed. Around 5:00 P.M. you will find your driver waiting in Imlil to take you back to Marrakesh.
